FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NEW COLLABORATIVE ARTS NETWORK NOW OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS
Open call for artists and collaborators interested in joining the movement to affect positive change through artist interventions.
DETROIT, MI, 11.20.2016. MACA (ink): Mismanagement and Criminal Activity is a collaborative arts network created to promote conversations around the most pressing and dangerous issues of our time. We host a creative coalition of artists interested in tackling concepts within governance, surveillance, place, safety, human rights, social equality and environmental justice through digital media, gorilla marketing, interventions and publication.
“We are the artists here to be bold, to take a stand and create the mirror on which change can be seen.”
Working within a subversive aesthetic, taking on the guise of a multinational corporation, MACA (ink) pushes boundaries, connects artists and supports initiatives building community and social change through art. The group aims to hold a mirror to the very entities at the top of (mis)management and tell them we are not going anywhere, we are legitimate, we matter!
MACA (ink) is always open to ideas, submissions and collaborators. The group features artists, writers, and creators alike with a strong social justice base and desire to affect positive change within a local, regional or global community.
